Philip Day joined in 1976 as an articled clerk, qualified in 1979 and became a partner in 1985. On 1st January 1998, Philip and Mike Coughlan merged the firm as it was at the time, Langley Smiths, with Wellingtons Solicitors and the business then became Langley Wellington and moved to 57 Westgate Street in Gloucester.
Since 1st January 1998 Philip Day has been Managing Partner of the business. Since that time the turnover of the practice has grown more than 6 fold to the point where today it is one of the
pre-eminent practices in the city.
Philip's specialist areas are commercial property, the sale and purchases of businesses and residential development. In addition Philip is responsible for overseeing the development and well being of the business and its staff.
