Helen Stephens joined Langley Wellington as a partner in November 1999. She did her training with one of the firm's which ultimately became Langley Wellington back in the mid 1980's before moving to another local firm for a few years. Helen was brought up and went to school in the local area. She has specialised in family law since she qualified in 1988. She is the head of the Family Law department and has a special interest in helping people resolve the financial consequences of relationship breakdown.

Helen was closely involved in the firm attaining accreditation under the Investors In People Scheme, and she is also an Assistant Deputy Coroner. Helen has been a member of the Family Law Panel since it was set up and was one of the first to become an advanced member.

Rose Keyte trained with the firm and qualified in 1993. She is an associate solicitor and practices exclusively in family law. Rose is a very experienced family law practitioner and is a member of the Law Society's Advanced Family Law Panel confirming her expertise in this area. She is also a member of Resolution (formerly Solicitors Family Law Association) and adopt their principles.

Rose enjoys practicing in all areas of family law with a particular interest in both financial and children's issues arising following a relationship breakdown. Outside work she enjoys spending time with her young family, reading and enjoying the outdoors.

Sandra Waller has worked for Langley Wellington since 1987. She left to have her third child and after a year returned to work at Langley Wellington and has been here ever since.

Sandra specialises in divorce, financial settlements and cases involving children. Sandra's claim to fame is that one particular child case went to the court of appeal and the case was published in the Family Law Journal because a new issue of law was decided.

Chris Fowler became a consultant at Langley Wellington when he merged his own legal practice which he had run for 25 years, with the firm on 1st January 2000.  He therefore has a wealth of experience under his belt. Chris specialises in Public Law Child Care which involves child abuse and Local Authority Intervention on behalf of children.

Chris relaxes by trying to hit a little white ball into a hole and is also Chairman of Gloucester Charity Skittles League. He balances the football interest in the firm by having supported Chelsea for many years, long before they regularly beat Man United.

Matthew Evans joined Langley Wellington in 2005 and having qualified on 3rd January 2007, is one of a small number of practitioners (along with Chris Fowler) specialising in public child care work.

Matthew completed his LLB Law Degree at the University of East Anglia and did his Legal Practice course at the University of the West of England in Bristol.

The Family Department as a whole believes in being supportive to their clients but also being realistic with them as to the outcomes that can be achieved.
